Seeing a need for easier access to a lake ruled by motorboats, Greenwood Lake Paddleboards came into being in June of 2013 as a reservation-based side business on Greenwood Lake. After seeing how much of an interest the area has in paddleboarding and kayaking, it became a full-time business in the summer of 2014. In the Spring of 2015 the business moved its base from Greenwood Lake to Monksville Reservoir, which had been our most popular delivery spot the prior two years. We are now entering our sixth season of business, which will be our fourth at Monskville Reservoir. We love how tranquil and beautiful the Reservoir is, and we think you will too!
Chaz is a level 2 ACA certified SUP Instructor, and holds a USCG Master Captain's license. He is also a shipwright who has volunteered & worked at the Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston NY. He teaches private & group lessons and is in charge of new & used equipment sales.
Theresa is a West Milford native. She grew up hiking and learning the area's history from her father, who volunteered across the reservoir at Long Pond Ironworks for many years. She has also been practicing yoga for more than half of her life. As the company's program director, she is grateful to be able to offer engaging opportunities for others to find or foster their love of the outdoors.
Husband-wife team Chaz & Theresa live in Greenwood Lake with their three hound dogs, and feel very lucky to get to spend their summer days on the water.
Thanks for supporting small business! We look forward to seeing you!
